About the Practice
I'm Nora Albrecht, a graphic and brand designer. My studio treats each commission like a spread in an ongoing monograph — considered typography, a restrained palette, and enough contrast to hold a wall or a shelf.
How I work
Most projects start with a working session on the brand's voice before a single mark is drawn. From there the system is built in parallel: wordmark, colour, type, and the first few applications, so the identity is tested against real packaging and print before it is finished.
Lectures & Talks
Alongside client work, I teach and speak on type and identity design:
- "Type as Structure" — a lecture on building identity systems from a single typeface, AIGA New York
- "Packaging on a Shelf" — a workshop on packaging hierarchy for emerging brands
- Guest critic, graphic design thesis reviews, Parsons School of Design
Studio
The studio is based in New York and works with clients across the country, in person and remotely.
