Poster Design in New York
Typographic posters for cultural clients — festivals, lectures, exhibitions — built as a series rather than a single print.
Most of my poster work is for cultural clients — festivals, lectures, exhibitions — where a single image has to carry the whole event, and usually has to work as part of a series rather than alone. I treat each poster as an exercise in type first: what the headline needs to say, and how large it can be said.
What I offer
- A single poster or a coordinated series for one event
- Print-ready files sized for your printer and venue
- A matching set of supporting pieces — a programme, a ticket, or social sizes — built from the same system
- Typeface selection or custom lettering for the headline
- Press-check support for spot colour or risograph printing
How to work together
Send an enquiry with the event, the date it needs to print by, and how many pieces are in the series. I reply with fit and a production timeline, since poster work is often on a fixed print date.
Price
A single poster is quoted differently from a full series with supporting pieces; the price reflects the number of pieces and how tight the print deadline is.
Questions
Can you print the posters as well as design them?
I prepare files for your printer and can recommend printers I've worked with for spot colour or risograph runs, but I don't print in-house.
Do you design the whole event's print system, or just the poster?
Either — a poster alone, or a full system of poster, programme, and tickets built together, which usually reads more consistently.
